Queer + BIPOC

The Queer and BIPOC camp is an inclusive and safe space for the Queer and BIPOC communities.

VET OR DOGGIE WELLNESS LEADER

The Vet Camp Leader has extensive experience working with animals and treating wounds. Primary duties will be supporting any doggie first aid with growth opportunities to create space for a dog run and play space.

VENDORS & CRAFTERS

The Vendors & Crafters Camp Leader will be in charge of grouping vendors and crafters together and mapping out a couple of horseshoe-style camps, along with potlucks and nightly bonfires. Also, ensuring that any vendors or crafters wanting to showcase their talents with a workshop that there is ample area for them. 

SOBER CAMP

Are you at least one year sober? The Sober Camp Leader is a person who will be able to lead AA meetings for those attendees. Provide eventing activities for non-drinking fun.

SECURITY CAMP

The Security Camp Leader manages a team of security volunteers that support the event by ensuring that attendees remain safe. The ideal leader has a security background. They can de-escalate conflict, enforce rules, and support a smooth-running event.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Leave No Trace is fundamental to our community. It is considered Rule #2. The Leave No Trace leader is in charge of encouraging the community to intentionally practice leave no trace including organizing volunteers, trash runs and general resourcefulness for the benefit of the great land we are camping on. It also includes  encouraging others to maintain a clean camp. Picking up trash in the mornings and cleaning up after wind storms. Also post event clean up.

REGISTRATION LEADER

The Registration Leader will maintain check-in for rigs and attendees. This team will direct attendees to the area they want to camp.

QUIET CAMP (9-5’ers and Introverts Unite)

The Quiet Camp leader will help organize nightly bonfires or other activities.

MUSIC CAMP

The Music Camp Leader will be in charge of running music for the event. Including DJs and live performances. Also, adhering to AZ Trust Land noise ordinances during the week and cutting off music at 1 a.m. during the weekend.

GARAGE CAMP

The Garage Camp Leader will be available to answer questions about bus maintenance and able to support minor fixes. We request that this be a diesel mechanic with proper training. Run workshops like how to do an oil change and proper pre-drive check. 

First Aid Leader

The First Aid Leader will run and maintain a basic first aid station (area), run a nomad introductory first aid workshop (self or team member) – and communicate with the vet. 

Family Camp

The Family Camp Leader(s) (couple preferably) priority is creating youth activities, including space for homeschooling during the event. Ensure that kids have a safe space to play and be kids. 

Wellness Camp is a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual retreat from the rest of the world. We are creating a safe and welcoming space for all. The overall camp vibe is generally chill and during some events we will request quietness.

We need offerings related to all forms of wellness, infrastructure for the event space, volunteers to coordinate and hold space, and wellness related services. Ideally we would like to create a community by offering services to the Skooliepalooza “framily” (friend family), but we understand if you wish to request donations.
